The Forest School and Holiday Club leader is David Dobson.
David has had a life long interest in the natural world and outdoor education. Amongst various qualifications David is a qualified Countryside Manager graduating in 2000 from Liverpool John Moores University. He initially worked for The National Trust at Formby on the delivery of their education programmes for schools and the public and subsequently delivered a programme at sites throughout the North West (History Alive) demonstrating archaeological techniques to the public. He is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and a member of the recently formed Forest School Association, the national governing body, and was trained by the Chairman, Jon Cree, a renowned outdoor education consultant. He is also a trained provider of The John Muir Award. He holds an Enhanced DBS certificate that allows him to work with children and vulnerable adults. He holds First Aid certificates including Outdoor First Aid. Food hygiene certificates cover him for campfire cooking. As a company we are covered by specialist Forest School insurance from the governing bodies recommended insurers. We are a Forestry Commission Learning Provider and as such have special licence to carry out all of our activities at their designated sites.
